About our organization...
The Southern Illinois Water Operators Association was founded over 75 years ago to support the water operators and the water industry to further continuing education and help operators maintain current knowledge about changing regulations and methods. Our organization has over 300 members and we sponsor 3 major conferences per year held in the Winter, Spring and Fall.

Congratulations to Ken Yamamoto! He was the 2011 recipient of the "Friend of SIWOA" award. He is very deserving of this award after serving over 30 years in the water industry and we wish him well on his retirement.

Congratulations to our very own Dale Biggerstaff, Manager of Hamilton County Water District. He received a very deserving "Operator of the Year" award from Illinois Rural Water Association at their most recent conference held in February 2012 in Effingham! He is our 1st Vice President and incoming President for SIWOA 2012-2013.
